Our client specializes in diagnostic solutions for clinical chemistry, molecular diagnostics, microbiology, and biotechnology. They offer a range of products and services to healthcare professionals and research institutions worldwide, aiding in the diagnosis and monitoring of diseases. Currently, they are looking for an Accountant to join their finance/accounting team in Spankeren.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing our financial processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Driving process improvements and implementing automation solutions to streamline operations
• Preparation and facilitation of month-end, quarterly, and annual closings
• Ensuring the integrity of financial data through meticulous recording, verification, consolidation, and entry of transactions
• Maintaining and reconciling intercompany accounts, resolving any discrepancies
• Oversight of the general ledger, including preparation of trial balances and reconciliation of entries
• Management of CAPEX, amortization, and depreciation registrations
• Assisting in the processing of incoming invoices and bank statements, as well as managing payments
• Providing support to external entities on VAT/CIT/Intrastat matters
• Collaborating with the Head of Accounting to prepare for both internal and external audits
• Taking the lead on finance-related projects
• Acting as the key liaison with our French production entity.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting roles
• A bachelor's degree, preferably in economics or accounting
• Proficiency in French (fluency is a plus)
• Fluent in English and/or Dutch
• Ability to work autonomously and efficiently
• Strong analytical skills to identify and leverage strategic connections
• Comprehensive understanding of financial administration processes
• Availability for 32-40 hours per week
