Lab Technician Microbiology & Molecular Biology

Laboratory Technician needed in the Food Industry!

We are looking for a Lab Technician in Microbiology to join the Biotics Research Team. The team is part of the Global Gut Biology and Microbiology Center of Excellence based in Utrecht. The Lab Technician Microbiology will contribute to stool sample characterization by cultivating and plating with different specific media and preparing samples for advanced molecular techniques.

• Preparing, performing, and reporting physical chemical product analyses;




• Supporting and contributing to stool sample characterization;




• Securing the status and condition of equipment;




• Supporting the biotics Team;




• You will work closely with colleagues as well as interact with external laboratories and suppliers.

Through our agency, you will receive a 6-month temporary contract with an external party.
There is a possibility that your contract will be renewed after these 6 months or that our client will make you an offer of a contract, however, we are not able to guarantee this.

Your salary will vary depending on your degree of education and work history (€3300 - €3900 gross per month). In addition, you will have 30 annual leave days.

Requirements:

For the role of Lab Technician, we're looking for someone with the following profile:

* Preferably an HLO in Food Science, laboratory analysis, or similar through experience;
* Relevant and verifiable work experience with physical-chemical analyses;
* Comfortable working in a dynamic organization, with different functional disciplines and nationalities;
* Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English;
* Personal skills: strong organizational skills, pro-active, customer-oriented, eye for quality, analytic and creative mind, open, enthusiastic and team player;
* You are currently living in The Netherlands.
