Our international client, one of the world's foremost leadership advisory consulting firms, is now hiring an Analyst for their Leadership Advisory Services EMEA to be based in Amsterdam.
Leadership Advisory Services (LAS) is our client’s fastest-growing line of business offering and applying deep expertise, proprietary tools and considerable experience, providing important insight about: individual leaders, culture and team dynamics that enable better leadership decisions related to mergers and acquisitions, culture alignment, top team effectiveness, executive development, CEO and senior executive onboarding.
The role of the Analyst is to provide ‘hands on’ business development and content creation support to the Practice and its members. As part of the newly formed Business Development Centre of Excellence (BDCOE), the analyst assists key business development processes and operations, facilitating the creation of insightful, differentiating pitch content and market insights.
Job Profile for Analyst Leadership Advisory Services EMEA
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Business Development/Pursuit Support
  • Support the creation of business development content and insights for pitches, relationship building and strategic account planning
  • Surface advisory conversation starters by researching key trigger points for Leadership Advisory Services. Integrate conversation starters into business development materials, where relevant
  • Assist in the creation of qualifications packs for new business development initiatives/pitches across all stages of prospecting – from new leads to competitive presentations. Develop sophisticated and insightful presentation materials, in partnership with consultant teams and the BDCOE team
  • Monitor the firm’s daily potential new business (PNB) reports and flag potential opportunities for business development to the regional leader; monitor other firm reports as requested for the same purpose
  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly data updates to the LAS PNB tracker; review and recommend improvements to data management capabilities and reporting on a regular basis
  • Maintain tools and system to assist in centralising and organising business development materials, including standardised and/or tailored qualifications packs, sample reports and proposal letters
  • Provide administrative support, including proofing, formatting and content revisions, on the client-facing proposals and qualifications packs
Insight creation
  • Support with conducting analyses to develop insight about our clients, our competitors, how our processes produce better outcomes, what the best leaders look like and how our clients perform
  • Share learnings from pitches and business development initiatives across the BDCOE team to ensure we are continuously refining and improving our processes, responsiveness and pitch effectiveness
  • Help with conducting research to support the creation of intellectual capital/value adding thought pieces for use by our BD and delivery teams
  • Synthesise internal and external information to generate previously untapped insights/opportunities, giving Spencer Stuart a competitive edge in the marketplace
Candidate Profile for Analyst Leadership Advisory Services EMEA
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Other languages are of advantage
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree is a plus
  • 2+ years of business experience, ideally in a global professional services or consulting firm; knowledge of or a strong interest in leadership and talent consulting is a plus
  • 2+ years of qualitative and/or quantitative business research experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Has delivered research-driven, client ready insights in a visual, impactful way
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Passion for research and delivering timely, high quality results
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills, as well as a track record of performing business research and presenting impactful findings
  • An excellent multi tasker, ability to work under pressure, and thrive in fast-paced environments where competing demands are the norm
