CaDance modern Dance Festival in The Hague
CaDance, the biannual Modern Dance Festival, is an event full of firsts, where up and coming choreographers present their latest productions and projects in The Hague. It is organised by Korzo, one of the most important modern dance producers in the country. This two-week festival is filled with dance performances as well as dinners, talk shows and arrangements.
"The Excellence of Form"
This year’s CaDance Festival travels through time with the theme "The Excellence of Form". The featured productions delve into subjects that have been great sources of inspiration in art throughout the ages.Ageless classics and subjects, such as the Odyssey and Milton’s Paradise Lost, are moulded into new forms and given a contemporary shape that redefines their topicality.
The productions in "CaDance, The Excellence of Form" celebrate and explore form as the essence of art.

Paradise Lost
Samir Calixto | Korzo Producties
Brazilian-Dutch choreographer Samir Calixto seeks inspiration in cultural icons. This time his muse is "Paradise lost" by John Milton about the Biblical story of the Fall of Man.

Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten | ICK Amsterdam
A dance performance making use of multimedia. Emio Greco bases his spectacle of dance on the story of L’Etranger (The Stranger) by Albert Camus.

Exhausting space
Iván Pérez | Korzo Producties
Spanish choreographer and rising star Iván Pérez is known for his clear dance style, poetic and stripped down to the core. The dancers literally exhaust their space and bodies in search of unity.
