Our client is an emerging global food company, with Net Sales in excess of $600 million globally, operating across a range of categories including specialty rice, organic foods and convenience rice based products. The Company is engaged in milling, processing and marketing of branded and non-branded basmati rice, and manufacturing of rice food products in India & international market. They have a global presence including India, Middle East, United Kingdom, Europe and United States. Their operations include contract farming, procurement, storage, processing, packaging and distribution. Their rice product portfolio comprises brown, white, steamed, parboiled, organic, quick cooking brown rice, and ready-to-heat rice.
Job Profile for Senior Customer Service Specialist
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
The Production Manager is responsible for managing the production. They will be responsible for delivering quality product in accord with the company’s food safety and regulatory requirements. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing the equipment, people and processes in order to meet daily targets. This role reports to the General Manager.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Manages the Maintenance programs for all production equipment
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Ensuring the Production efficiencies, Labor efficiencies, Recovery Yield, FTQ (First Time quality) standards are attained
  • Run maintenance program
  • Implement TPM & lean manufacturing process
Candidate Profile for Senior Customer Service Specialist
  • Must have 5 years’ of relevant rice manufacturing experience with 3 years’ in a supervisory role
  • Experience with EU regulations (not necessarily having worked in the EU)
  • Thorough understanding of food safety and GMP
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Lean Reliability, SPC
  • Mechanically inclined individual, who is competent with running the maintenance program
  • Quality focused individual
  • The person should be able and willing with working the lines if required
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & spoken)
  • Previous experience in drafting SOP’s and other training documents
  • Working knowledge of CPI Methodologies
  • Experience of handling team of 10 and above people
  • Knowledge for running and maintaining primary and secondary packaging
  • Must have a driving license
