The Role

Role Purpose:- This role exists to ensure great guest experiences and amazing travel memories for our guests. ClinkHostels is a social hub for travellers and we enable this environment by informing, welcoming, serving breakfast, coffee and cakes and ensuring that guests have an awesome time in the bar when the night falls- the Food and Beverage team are the Vibe curators of ClinkNOORD, with full responsibility on the atmosphere.

In this role you will be part of the small Clink's Kitchen team reporting directly to The Clink Chef. You will be responsible for preparing a consistent, high quality food product and ensure friendly, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the Clink F&B operating concept.

Role Environment:-

· The role holder will facilitate a great guest experience by producing delicious and simple food

· The role holder will collaborate with and report directly to the clink Chef

· The role holder will be required to work closely and collaborate with other Clink Teams


The Key Responsibilities
  • Be familiar with all food items on the restaurant menu
  • Prepare food products according to standards
  • Follow standard recipes and minimize waste to help ensure that the restaurant's food cost is in line with budget

  • Contact with guests as the food is delivered from the kitchen straight to the guests

People- ClinkHostels is a social hub for travellers and fundamental to creating a warm environment are our staff.
· Lead and champion ClinkValues
· Train and support new colleagues
· Communicate and meet regularly with the team and F&B Manager to ensure positive and lasting guest experiences
· Responsible for excellent customer service

Product- Clink facilitates great travel experiences for guests.
· Be an advocate of GEM (Guest Experience Meetings)
· Promote the TravelShop, Café, Bar and kitchen as a tool to enhance Guest Experience
· Be in tune with ClinkNOORD guest comments and feedback
· Use your favourite grandma recipe (or your creativity) to bake the best cake or make the best burger in town. We will be proud to serve it!
· Follow Food hygiene and Safety (HACCP)

Profit- All businesses must be profitable to be sustainable.
· All menus must be profitable. Always follow Clink Chef’s instructions in order to minimize waste and have a good control on stock

Community- ClinkHostels are a social hub and part of a wider community; a community of staff, travellers, other Clink teams, the hostel industry and your local community.
· Bring the ‘In Tune’ value to life by knowing what is happening in-house, locally and in Amsterdam
· Collaborate with Clink Teams across the map to deliver excellent guest experiences
· Maintain positive relationships with everyone in and outside of ClinkNOORD

The Candidate
We are looking for someone smart, balanced, energetic with strong people skills and a big smile. You must be willing to develop and become a part of the stable Clink kitchen team. We are looking for reliable long-term thinking colleagues.

The candidate should ideally have diploma in food production and a minimum of 1 year work experience as Commis in a hotel or restaurant with good standards.

A comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential. A creative and motivated person with hands-on personality and open-mind would fit the team the best.
Fluency in English is very important.
