La Catrina
La Catrina MEXICO ® is the result of the union that so much describes our family; this being the basis of Mexican culture
La Catrina MEXICO ® was born in 2019 from the growing popularity of Mexican food in the Netherlands and Europe. We opened the doors of our restaurant for the first time in Amsterdam to offer our clients an experience full of colors and traditional flavors of our culture and family.
Our goal is to transmit and share, in a modern and refreshing way, the wonderful traditions of Mexican food through authentic flavors, made with ancestral and family recipes.
Our logo is inspired by an iconic Mexican satirical cartoon. “La Catrina”, a dressed up skeleton woman who mocked the country's high society, reminding them that no matter how rich or poor you are, we will all eventually end up like her when we die.
This philosophy of humility and compassion, together with our efficient and quality service, has made us grow exponentially and thus, in just over three years, position ourselves as strong competitors of Mexican fast food in the Netherlands.
