We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Python Engineer to join our client’s growing team in Delft, working in a flexible hybrid setup. 

In the role, you will work independently and collaborate effectively with remote teams across software, hardware, and logic disciplines to develop products that will shape the future of quantum computing.

Job Profile for Senior Python Engineer
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop and maintain the software for the company’s quantum computing software development kit (SDK)
  • Participate in all stages of software development, from design to delivery
  • Ensure adherence to high standards of software methodology, clean coding practices, and continuous integration (CI)
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (SW, HW, and logic) to achieve project goals
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance system performance and maintainability

Candidate Profile for Senior Python Engineer

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • B.Sc. or higher degree in Computer Sciences, EE, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of SW development experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on Python experience
  • Knowledge in writing and maintaining production code for large systems
  • Deep understanding of design patterns, systems and SW architecture
  • Proven track record in handling code review, testing, and system integration
  • Proven experience in providing open source code would be a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to perform effectively in dynamic environments and under conditions of uncertainty
  • Able to work in a cross-geography, multi-site environment
  • Strong engineering capabilities with a can-do attitude
