Working for a successful trading company with an international network; a commercial working environment providing challenge and freedom. Do you recognise new opportunities, and do you know how to seize them? In this position you combine acquisition of new suppliers with buying technical products from companies in Scandinavia. Additionally, you value maintaining a good relationship with our existing customers and other relevant third parties. As you will be responsible for Scandinavia, you will be traveling to Sweden, Finland and/or Norway regularly. Do you recognise yourself in the above?Then we are looking for you.

What will be your mission?
Because of your commercial mindset, you recognise opportunities in your market. You pick up the phone and convince the customer of our services. Most of all, you are determined to close the deal. Your goal is to purchase technical products, negotiate a fair price and arrange transport to our warehouses. Furthermore, you make sure that our customers know that you are the person to turn to whenever they have questions or see opportunities. You are result oriented, accurate and possess strong communication skills. You are proud of your work and have a passion for your profession. You stand for innovation, quality and improvement.

What will be your tasks?

  • buying technical products
  • actively acquiring new suppliers
  • negotiate about prices
  • arrange transport to our warehouse in Roosendaal
  • maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • keep an up-to-date administration in our ERP-system

Requirements:

What do you bring?

  • 2+ years relevant working experience
  • mastery of the Swedish and/or Norwegian and/or Finnish language
  • mastery of the English language
  • commercial mindset and excellent negotiation skills
  • the desire to work a minimum of 32 hours per week

The current department

The department currently consists of 8 Purchasers who are jointly responsible for buying technical products. Together, they speak over 10 different languages! In recent years our organisation has grown strongly and the demand for our goods and services has increased as well. You will work in an international environment with an informal working atmosphere.

Active Stock Management is a company that specializes in buying Surplus material from all over the world. Through Active Stock Management (or “ASM” for short), you have the opportunity to easily get rid of your obsolete stock. We have over 20 years of experience in evaluating and buying excess stocks. An international team of expert account managers is at your service! 

We take over dormant stocks (‘surplus’) from companies from various industries. Sooner or later, many companies are faced with inactive or surplus supplies: projects end, production lines are changed or updated, new product lines are introduced, or orders are returned. Machinery and spare parts that no longer have any use take up space and cost money. Often, this surplus material is put into long-term storage before finally being thrown out. Quite wasteful, we believe!

Eliminate your excess stock in a timely manner. Active Stock Management is happy to buy your bearings, electric motors, automation parts, pneumatics, hydraulics and comparable materials. This allows you to easily cash in on your old stock.
