Currently, they are looking for a Junior Warehouse Operative to join their team in Rotterdam.

Job Profile for Junior Warehouse Operative
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Operate a forklift
  • Take care of safety
  • Update records in the system in order to keep control over stock
  • Communicate and cooperate with the team and other departments in order to process orders properly, efficiently and on time
  • Supervise, train, coach and motivate the warehouse team
  • Ensure the team is working in line with all company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate receiving and packing
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Keep a clean, safe and organised working environment and optimise space utilisation
  • Complete diary logs into inventory
  • Report any discrepancies
  • Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

Candidate Profile for Junior Warehouse Operative

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • MBO (level 4, administrative) is required
  • Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
  • Current forklift license
  • Proficient in inventory software, databases, and systems
  • Familiar with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Able to lift heavy objects
  • Affinity with computers and electronics
  • Proper oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all colleagues and possibly other departments
  • Competent and confident user of work systems
  • Resilient and able to work on a tight timescale and with business-critical constraints
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and adherence to practices, procedures and scheduling deadlines
  • Able to comply with company security and safety procedures and regulations
  • Positive attitude and result oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency
  • Structured and systematic working methods
  • Cooperative attitude, team player with the ability to develop and enhance strong relationships
  • Adaptable to changes in an environment of continuous improvements, self-motivated and creative
  • Proficiency with Windows systems (Windows 7/10)
