For one of our international clients in Rotterdam we are looking for permanent full time Operations Coordinator. A great opportunity to join one of the worlds most renowned Gas Tanker operations, with a wealth of experience and insight into the sector. A challenging role, dynamic workload, coupled with a flexible and progressive working environment, we are seeking a highly motivated, innovative and resourceful individual to complement the team in Rotterdam. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing vessels, communicating with captains, port agents, cargo brokers and bunker
    suppliers. Be the central point for all Operational related shipping matters during the
    entire voyage which a vessel performs.
  • Providing voyage instructions and troubleshoot daily challenges as they arise, be a part
  • f the action rather than dealing in hindsight, a calm and supportive communicator who
    diffuses and builds road maps to solutions.
  • Planning and ordering of bunker supplies in most efficient opportunity.
  • Discuss and communicate voyage- and bunker management with overseas colleagues.
  • Optimizing voyage performance, together with our Optimization- and Chartering
    departments.
  • Handling post-fixture administration and (demurrage) claims, including communication
    with cargo brokers and Charterers.
  • Take ownership of all Operational matters, support the Optimization, Technical- and
    Chartering team with opinion and guidance.
  • Be the voice of calm when dealing with urgent operational matters.
  • Ensure a positive and constructive environment with the internal and external interfaces.
  • Be a contributing part of the internal developments and growth on digitalization and
  • ptimization.

Requirements:

  • A demonstration of an Operational and/or Commercial training and experience, education in Maritime/Shipping and Transport Studies
  • Operational knowledge or working experience is preferred, but not necessarily a must
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Tanker (Gas) Charter Party forms, terms and conditions is not necessary
    but a clear bonus
  • Possess and demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills
  • Independent and decisive, as well as being a strong team player
  • Organized, communicative and structured
  • Strong administration and recording skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, in both oral and written English (Dutch is a plus)
  • Self-motivated, responsible and professional, you are structured, analytical and accurate
    under pressure

40 hours per week
