Are you a capable leader, an internet expert fascinated by Cyber Security? CAJPHR is looking for a team lead with good internet experience and great managing skills, who is interested in development in Africa and will lead the team that will develop policy to include Africa in the on-going global discussion on internet and cyber-security. For this specific task, CAJPHR is specifically asked to partake in internet accountability matters.
As part of our foundation, the Cyber-Security expert is a key player in realizing internet security strategy that would benefit Africa. Your team will develop detailed policies and guiding principles that would be presented to international organizations working on Global internet accountability. You will advise the international community, guide their proposals to benefit Africa and monitor progress and effectiveness of your recommendations. You will be responsible for researching and speaking for Africa on an international scale on matters related to internet accountability and security.
 

Requirements:

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Maintains good practice within the Foundation.
  • Managing the Internet team and leading the team in meetings with external partners.
  • Conduct a research and produce a report on how Africa can be involved in Accountability in the digital age.   
  • Ensures the continuous development of internet and cyber security policies to keep developing countries up with legal developments around the world.
  • Keeps up with all relevant security developments and advises colleagues and management on improvement of security.

Job Requirements

  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar Cyber Security role and relevant work experience in a commercial online environment.
  • You are proficient in the English language in word and writing.
  • Excellent communication and social skills are important.
  • You have a positive, hands-on attitude and the ambition to drive our foundation forward to digital leadership.

Centre for African Justice, Peace and Human Rights is a foundation which promotes the development and addresses matters pertaining to justice, peace and human rights. Through trainings, awareness campaigns and events, people in Africa are provided with the necessary support and capacity. The foundation is located in The Hague and seeks to develop various events and activities this year which will be taking place in the Netherlands and abroad.
