One of our clients in Rotterdam, a global company within industrial technologies, is looking for an export-import classification specialist with a good understanding of import/export documentation and a proactive mentality.
In this role, you will engage in diverse activities that have a significant impact on Global Trade Classification (GTC) and the overall company. This position entails the ability to generate supplier's declarations and process applications for certificates of origin. You will assume responsibility for the annual solicitation process and ensure accurate classification of Harmonized Tariff Codes (HTS), Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), and Country of Origin (COO) for the company’s standard products while establishing and maintaining system backups. This position encompasses day-to-day transactional tasks and assigned departmental projects.

Main Responsibilities:
- Submits applications for certificates of origin
- Generates supplier's declarations
- Conducts annual solicitations in the EMEA region
- Manages CMAP to obtain origin backing documentation for the EMEA and AP regions
- Ensures proper backup documentation for product classifications according to department procedures
- Determines global Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes, US Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), and Country of Origin (COO) for standard products
- Performs VL10/Transactional-EMEA classification
- Participates in assigned projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, legal, or supply chain field
- Excellent proficiency in verbal and written English
- Relevant experience in international trade, logistics, and/or operations, particularly in import/export order handling
- An understanding of import/export documentation, including certificates of origin and supplier's declarations
- Good planning, communication, and organizational skills
