Our client is a major name in the Consumer Electronics/Homecare sector. The company was formed almost 140 years ago in the US and remains a family-owned business. A market leader in the US and with a growing presence globally, this company is massively growing their international team in Amsterdam. We have an opportunity for a Business Category Marketing Lead on a European level to join the European Management Team and represent the European downstream function both locally and internationally. In this position you will also manage and coach a team of 2 Downstream Marketing Managers.Key responsibilities:

  • Create the European market plan and portfolio 4P strategy for the owned (sub) categories
  • Collaborate with the commercial teams on translating the strategy to executional plans
  • Work with the Upstream International Product Marketing team to ensure the roadmap delivers on local market needs and supports the growth ambitions
  • Act as the first point of contact for the sub-category in the European commercial organization
  • Ensure product launches and deliverables are delivered in time and in full to support a perfect launch of owned subcategories
  • Responsible for defining and implementing pricing strategies for sub-categories to maximize financial objectives as well as optimizing competitive position in the marketing place
  • Provide fact-based insights on market needs and opportunities to support targets and growth ambitions
  • Drive strategic marketing projects & quality improvement regarding category vision and daily management
  • Support top management with high quality input for annual and quarterly business planning

Your profile:

  • Master’s degree and 10+ years of professional experience, specialized in downstream marketing
  • Strong Analytical capabilities and curiosity
  • Commercial and Business Savvy
  • Strong influential and excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across cultures
  • Experience in projects ownership and driving the full product execution
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in Performance measurement, Marketing Mix Optimization
  • Previous working experience in FMCG
  • Business fluency in English                                                                              
  • Team management experience
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and the ability to build good working relationships with others, both internally and externally
