Senior IT Security and Network Analyst - Leviat

Leviat are looking for a Senior IT Security & Network Analyst based in our offices in Amsterdam. In this exciting role the successful candidate will support the development and implementation of the Leviat Security & Network strategy, execute necessary remediations identified by security tools and CRH GIS team, support the Leviat Operations and Applications teams in relation to security topics, assess 3rd party vendors for their security compliance and investigate and embrace new technologies, to support and protect Leviat's strategic priorities.
In this role you will be responsible for a number of tasks including:

  • Conducting network monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using various computer network defense tools, such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls and host-based security systems
  • Conducting log-based and endpoint-based threat detection to detect and protect against threats coming from multiple sources
  • Deploying cloud-centric detection to detect threats related to cloud environments and services used by the organization
  • Correlating activity across assets (endpoint, network, apps) and environments (on-premises, cloud) to identify patterns of anomalous activity
  • Reviewing alerts and data from sensors, and documents formal, technical incident reports
  • Working with CRH Global Information Security team on threat detection/remediation for Leviat scope
  • Providing network subscribers with incident response support, including mitigating actions to contain activity and facilitate forensic analysis when necessary
  • Supporting the creation of business continuity/disaster recovery plans, including conducting disaster recovery tests, publishing test results and making changes necessary to address deficiencies
  • Researching emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of incidents


To be successful in the role you'll need:

  • Demonstrable experience in designing, setting up and managing security solutions
  • Relevant experience in IT audit, enterprise risk management, penetration testing, red team/incident responses, or have been a junior security operations analyst
  • Strong attention to detail without losing the big picture
  • The ability to effectively work and communicate with people with a wide range of skills, experience, cultures and capabilities including business leaders, peers, vendors, and staff members
  • To be fluent English. Other languages (German, French, Dutch) are an advantage
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks (such as International Organization for Standardization [IS0] 27000, COBIT, National Institute of Standards and Technology [NIST] 800), desired but not essential
  • A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), desired but not essential
  • A Bachelor or Masters degree in computer science, information security, cybersecurity or a related field.
