Postdoctoral researcher in theoretical high-energy multimessenger astrophysics

The research will focus on numerical simulations of compact object mergers and core-collapse supernovae with a particular focus on making connections to multi-messenger observations and stellar evolution.
You should have a PhD in astronomy and/or physics. You should have a proven track record in theoretical high-energy astrophysics, numerical relativity, or multi-messenger astrophysics.
The appointment is intended for an initial period of 2 years, with renewal for a 3rd year contingent upon funding and satisfactory progress. The start of the appointment will be October 2020, with some flexibility.
The salary will be in accordance with the university regulations for academic personnel, and will range from €2,709 to €4,274 (salary scale 10) gross per month (based on a fulltime appointment). This is excl. 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% end of year bonus. The Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities is applicable.
