By Mina Solanki

InMotion, a team of Dutch students at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), is working on so-called Electric Refueling technology which will make it possible to charge an electric car in two minutes! The team wants to make charging as fast and convenient as conventional refuelling.

Charging your electric car in minutes

The InMotion team are currently developing a battery which will be able to be recharged in just 7,5 minutes! The plan is to have this battery ready by the summer of 2020. The team then plans to make the battery recharge even quicker in the future. By 2021, they expect recharging to take 4 minutes and just 2 by 2022.

The team will showcase the potential of Electric Refueling in 2023 by taking part in the Garage 56, 24 Hours of Le Mans using a fully electric endurance race car
