For a globally operating FMCG market leader with a strong heritage in premium consumer brands, we are looking for an Interim Global Category Manager. This organization operates worldwide and is known for combining global scale with strong local presence, innovation, and iconic brand building.

From its global head office in Amsterdam, the company drives international marketing strategies, creative excellence and procurement innovation across all regions. The environment is international, fast-paced and highly collaborative, with close alignment between global, regional and local stakeholders.

In this role, you’ll manage the ATL Creative and Production categories, with a focus on achieving efficiency and driving innovation. You will be responsible for managing relationships with strategic ATL agencies, production, and technology partners, supporting negotiations and pitch processes in close collaboration with the project lead. You will develop competitive supplier landscapes, ensure contract excellence, and oversee performance evaluations to secure optimum results. 

This role works in close partnership with a designated project lead and is primarily focused on supporting the delivery and execution of key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a specialist and expert in ATL, providing professional support within Procurement, OpCo, Region, and Head Office;
  • Broaden your expertise in Marketing Procurement beyond ATL Creative and production categories;
  • Drive competitive supplier landscapes, tendering processes, and supplier selection, ensuring the most effective outcomes for all category deals;
  • Manage and develop relationships with suppliers, oversee performance evaluations, and ensure the successful delivery of results;
  • Ensure alignment of marketing procurement strategies with the global and regional teams to maximize ATL category effectiveness.

Requirements

  • University degree;
  • 8+ years in a similar commerce/procurement role, consulting position in an FMCG environment, or creative agencies;
  • Expertise: Marketing, agencies, and strategic sourcing;
  • Functional skills: Strategic sourcing, stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical & strategic insight, and category & supplier management;
  • Fluent in English.

Salary

This is a temporary assignment until the end of the year. The role is open for freelancers/zzp and a temporary contract via independent Recruiters. Further details can be discussed in a personal meeting.
