HR Operations Specialist
About this role
Are you an experienced HR operations professional with multi-country expertise and a passion for accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement? We are looking for a skilled HR Operations Specialist on behalf of our client, an international technology company based in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage all stages of the employee journey within HR systems, from hiring through to departure, including internal transfers and organizational changes
- Act as the primary resource for internal teams seeking support with HR policies, system navigation, and procedural guidance
- Function as the go-to expert for HR technology platforms and tools used across the organization
Payroll Support & Compliance
- Collaborate with payroll functions to maintain precision and regulatory adherence across our European footprint, including the Netherlands, UK, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, and Italy
- Assist with the execution of annual compensation review cycles while ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
- Maintain compliance with employment legislation and HR standards across multiple jurisdictions
Vendor Management & Process Improvement
- Oversee partnerships with benefits and pension providers
- Contribute to HR operational excellence initiatives, audits, and strategic projects
Qualifications & Skills
- Fluent communication skills in both English and Dutch are essential for this role
- At least 3 years in HR Operations, Payroll, or similar capacity, with demonstrated experience managing HR processes in the Netherlands and broader European context
- Academic background in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline (or comparable professional experience)
- Solid grasp of Dutch employment regulations and familiarity with HR compliance frameworks across Europe
- Comfortable working with HR information systems and payroll platforms
- Advanced capabilities in Excel and data analysis
- Background in compensation, benefits, or total rewards administration is highly valued
- Solution-focused mentality with a hands-on working style
- Sharp attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
- Discretion and integrity when managing sensitive employee information
- Capable of juggling multiple deliverables in an agile business setting
