It’s safe to say the Dutch have been avid cyclists for a pretty long time now, so it’s fairly unsurprising that they’ve managed to get the art of cycling down to a tee. Whether it’s the unflattering yet practical rain gear, or the country’s efficient cycle lanes - the Dutch certainly know what they’re doing.
Indeed, even their bikes are better than the average bicycle.
The popular YouTube channel Not Just Bikes was founded by Canadian Jason Slaughter, who moved to Amsterdam a few years ago with his family and has fallen in love, not only with the Dutch way of life but also the local cycle culture. In this video, he puts forward a very strong case for why Dutch bikes are simply better than any other kind of bike you could find.
