Rainy weekend then sunshine: Ultimate holiday weather for last days of July
The weather this weekend in the Netherlands is expected to be rather miserable and rainy, but it will take a turn for the better. As July runs into August, it’s going to get warmer, with Weeronline predicting the ultimate holiday weather for next week.
Cloudy and rainy weather in the Netherlands this weekend
You may want to postpone any outdoor plans you have on Saturday, July 27, as the sky will be coloured grey by clouds. Temperatures will reach a very mild 21 to 23 degrees celsius and Dutch cities in the southeast of the country, such as Eindhoven, will get quite a bit of rain. The occasional shower hasn’t been ruled out for the rest of the country, but it will most likely be dry with the sun shining through intermittently, especially in western cities like Amsterdam, Leiden and The Hague.
The weekend isn’t completely bleak, though, as better weather is forecast for Sunday. A local rain shower might fall in the morning in the east, but the rest of the day will see long periods of sunshine throughout the Netherlands. The mercury will rise to 21 degrees in the northwest and up to 25 degrees celsius in the southeast.
Summery weather for the end of July
After a weekend of changeable weather, the first few days of the week will see July end with little to no rain and the sun shining brightly. Temperatures could reach up to 26 or 27 degrees celsius in parts of the country, creating the perfect opportunity for a day at the beach while the kids are on school holidays.
