The UvA comes in at the 62nd position, up one spot from last year. The University of Leiden came next and showed the biggest jump in the ranking, from 88th to 75th place.

After that, Utrecht University followed in 85th place and the Erasmus University of Rotterdam (EUR) ranked 99th. TU Delft (103rd), Maastricht University (107th) and the University of Groningen (109th) just missed the top 100.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Cambridge, and Harvard University are the top 3 universities in the world according to the QS ranking.
