About this role

Ready to make direct impact in an international logistics role in Amsterdam? This temporary assignment gives you variety, ownership and global exposure. You support daily freight operations and supply chain improvement projects. You work closely with the Global Supply Chain Manager. Your work helps the team keep logistics moving and suppliers on track. Ideal if you are available quickly for a 4 to 6-month assignment.

Your job as a Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist:
As a Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist, you support international freight, logistics and supplier performance activities. You bring structure to daily operations, reporting and project follow-up. You work with freight forwarders, 3PL partners and internal teams. You make sure data is accurate and actions are completed. You also support improvement projects, such as logistics optimisation and TMS-related work. In this role, you add value by supporting:

  • coordinating daily contact with freight forwarders, carriers and 3PL partners;
  • tracking claims, escalations, open actions and supplier follow-up;
  • preparing KPI reports on delivery performance, lead times and costs;
  • supporting supplier reviews, RFQ/RFP processes and contract documents;
  • maintaining SOPs, presentations, reports and central documentation.

Your workplace:
You join an international supply chain team where logistics, procurement, finance and business teams work closely together. The role is broad, practical and connected to global freight operations. The working environment is structured, professional and hands-on. You will be trusted to bring overview, accuracy and follow-through. This makes the role especially interesting if you enjoy operational coordination, clear deadlines and international stakeholder contact. Because this is a temporary assignment, your experience will be valuable from the first weeks.

What do you bring to the table?
You are accurate, organised and clear in your communication. That matters because you work with many stakeholders, documents and deadlines. You also know how to follow up without losing sight of the bigger supply chain process. For this vacancy, you bring:

  • at least 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics or operations support;
  • experience with freight forwarding, international logistics or 3PL operations;
  • bachelor-level working and thinking ability;
  • strong Excel, reporting and data accuracy skills (Power BI is a plus);
  • fluent English, both written and spoken.

What’s in it for you?
This role offers a strong mix of operational responsibility and supply chain project work. You step into a temporary assignment where your knowledge can make a direct difference. You can expect:

  • a temporary assignment for 4 to 6 months, with possible extension;
  • direct collaboration with the Global Supply Chain Manager;
  • exposure to international freight, logistics and supplier performance;
  • involvement in improvement projects such as TMS and logistics optimisation.
