Currently, we are looking for an exceptional Compiler Engineer to join our client’s growing team in Delft, working in a flexible hybrid setup.
In this role, you will passionately take ownership of your responsibilities, collaborating effectively with remote teams to not only meet but exceed the company’s objectives and fulfil the evolving needs of their expanding customer base.
Job Profile for Compiler Engineer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop the company’s compiler from a proprietary quantum language to a proprietary processor tailored to realise and accelerate quantum computing
- Take on complex optimisation challenges at the core of a unique compiler, focusing on real-time applications, hybrid quantum/classical algorithms, and parallel processing
- Conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and profiling to ensure the performance and correctness of compiler outputs
- Develop and debug software to optimise the utilisation of limited hardware resources, enabling the scaling of quantum computing systems and improving quantum algorithm performance on a cutting-edge quantum orchestration platform
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software and architecture teams to ensure seamless software-hardware integration, directly enhancing system capabilities and performance
Candidate Profile for Compiler Engineer
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a relevant scientific field; advanced degrees are considered an advantage
- 5+ years of hands-on programming experience
- Proficiency in computer architecture, assembly language, and low-level programming concepts is a plus
- Familiarity with MLIR/LLVM is an advantage
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment is preferred
- Motivated and resourceful problem solver with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges, particularly in hardware-oriented environments
