The WestHolland Foreign Investment Agency will now be called The Hague Business Agency, and that is not all that is changing.
The Hague & Partners was launched on September 11 and will take its place as the umbrella organisation, under which The Hague Business Agency, The Hague Marketing Bureau and The Hague Convention Bureau will collaborate.
Through working together the organisations, which were previously separate, will be able to be more effective in raising the profile of The Hague and generating business.
The Hague & Partners will be the principal organisation for marketing and acquisition and will focus its efforts not only on attracting visitors, businesses, organisations and conferences, but also retaining them and ensuring their return to the city.
At the launch, awards were given to organisations that are giving centre stage to The Hague nationally and internationally. The public, along with a judging panel decided upon the winners.
The following awards were presented: The Leisure Award, The Conference Award and The Business Award. These were won by Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, World Forum The Hague and Jacobs respectively, and were presented by Karsten Klein and the board of The Hague & Partners.
