Starting April 1, three water buses will sail through the canals of Leiden.

The "Cocosmacroon" (Coconut Macaroon), the "Wat dan juh" (Say what?) and the "Zwarte Zwaan" (Black Swan) will operate for (at least) 12 hours a day, seven days a week.

Citizens and visitors will be able to hop in and out every 30 minutes, at any point of the pre-specified route that will cover (more or less) the whole city centre, as long as there is enough space left.

Maximum capacity of the 10,5 x 2,7 meter boats is 35 passengers.
