By Manja van Kesteren

On March 18, the Netherlands will hold new elections – this time to elect members of the country’s 342 local councils. Unlike the national elections, local elections are open to non-Dutch residents. People from EU countries will be able to vote, as will non-EU nationals who have lived in the Netherlands for five years.
