Born in 1967, Rutte was called up for his jab in May, and finally received his vaccine on Monday. Like many others, the Prime Minister chose to share a photo of the big moment on his social media accounts, writing on Twitter “Vaccination is the way out of this crisis and thanks to Janssen's vaccine, that prospect is now also a step closer for me personally.”

Rutte also thanked all GGD employees who are helping to organise carry out vaccinations across the country and are committed to “helping the Netherlands out of this crisis.” As the Prime Minister received the Janssen vaccine, it means he is now fully immunised against COVID-19

According to the government’s corona dashboard, over nine million vaccinations have now taken place.
