The Warehouse Operator maintains and oversees the warehouse and distribution operations of the Group and works in the team of (senior) Sales Engineers. Our operations include the handling of elevator equipment and components. Reports to the Operations Director.

Job description

  • Oversee warehousing activities

  • Receiving and processing incoming goods

  • Inventorizing stock items

  • Order picking and packaging goods with care to prevent damages during transport

  • Check outgoing shipments in terms of quantity, quality and correctness

  • Ensures transport documents are complete and meet the requirements of country regulation 

  • Accurate administrative processing of warehouse activities such as entry and exit of stock

  • Strategic buying: regular analysis of what spares can offer a substantial competitive advantage for the group when kept on stock.

  • Ensure Just in Time spares parts stock levels in order to generate maximum turnover to the lowest possible cost 

  • Managing and optimizing the various warehouses (Rotterdam, Shanghai and Singapore)

  • Ensuring exact records of stock levels (actual to ERP recorded levels)

  • Perform periodic counts of the stock

  • Optimize layout of warehouse; efficient and effective space utilization

  • Report statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)


Function requirements

  • BSc. / MSc. degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration

  • Good technical insight

  • Familiar with logistical terminologies

  • Minimum 2-3 years warehouse experience 

  • Excellence in business and technical English (reading and writing), and a relevant second language, preferably Dutch

  • Good understanding and empathy for culture differencesExperience with the pallet truck

  • Willingness for physical work such as bending, kneeling and carrying loads

  • Excellent computer skills.

Note: EU passport or existing NL residence/working permit without time restrictions is needed.

Salary Benefits:

  • Salary indication is 2000 EUR gross per month
  • 8% vacation pay.
  • Travel allowance.
  • Personal annual training and education budget.
