They are now looking to expand their IT team with an experienced Senior IT System Engineer – Infrastructure & Cloud, to join them in Eindhoven. As a key member of the international IT team, you will take ownership of core IT infrastructure and cloud services. Your role will be critical in ensuring stable and secure operations across a hybrid environment.Key responsibilities include:
They are now looking to expand their IT team with an experienced Senior IT System Engineer – Infrastructure & Cloud, to join them in Eindhoven. As a key member of the international IT team, you will take ownership of core IT infrastructure and cloud services. Your role will be critical in ensuring stable and secure operations across a hybrid environment.Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and improving Windows Server ecosystems (Windows Server 2019/2025) and Windows 11 clients.
- Overseeing virtualization through Hyper-V and managing VEEAM backups.
- Coordinating and executing patch management for both endpoints and servers.
- Deploying and maintaining Microsoft 365, Intune (including compliance, Autopilot, and updates).
- Administering hybrid identity systems with Azure Entra ID and on-prem Active Directory.
- Supporting collaboration tools, including Microsoft Teams and its phone system integration.
- Troubleshooting complex IT incidents (1st and 2nd line support) across multiple global locations.
- Providing light-touch support on Linux platforms as needed.
- Maintaining and securing networks using Cisco hardware and solutions (VPN, switches, firewalls, ISE, Umbrella).
- Working cross-functionally with international IT counterparts to streamline infrastructure and align systems.
- Reporting directly to the IT Manager based in the Netherlands.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant IT infrastructure and systems engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (ideally 2025) and Windows 11.
- Hands-on experience with Hyper-V and backup solutions such as VEEAM.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Intune, Teams (including telephony integration), and Azure services.
- Competency in managing hybrid identity infrastructures (Azure Entra ID & Local AD).
- Comfortable with IT patching processes and endpoint security.
- Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment and concepts including VPNs, firewalls, and access control.
- Some Linux knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with Dell and Cisco hardware is an asset.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and familiarity with ISO27001 are advantageous.
- Strong analytical thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Business-level English is required; knowledge of German or Dutch is a bonus.
- Willing to travel internationally (monthly), especially within Europe.
