Within the central Data & AI division, you will play an important role in the team responsible for all data streams surrounding the central TV platform. As a Data DevOps Engineer, you adopt a 'we build it, we own it' mindset and bear technical responsibility for end-to-end data pipelines. What are you going to do?
- Act as the technical lead for cloud and streaming solutions, bringing along and coaching the team in this transition;
- Design and implement the migration from the on-premise Microsoft Data Stack to a modern Azure Cloud platform (including Microsoft Fabric);
- Build, manage, and optimize real-time data ingestion (e.g., reading from Kafka topics) to directly improve digital customer experiences;
- Drive towards 100% automation by setting up Airflow and robust CI/CD pipelines;
- Ensure data quality, security guidelines, and compliance rules within daily operations.
Requirements
What do you bring?
- Expertise in SQL/SQL Server, SSIS, and SSAS, bridging legacy and modern data architectures;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric and IDMC, with experience in streaming data technologies like Kafka;
- Proven ability to drive 100% automation, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency in data solutions;
- Demonstrated technical leadership for streaming initiatives and experience managing technical teams;
- Strong analytical, results-oriented, and proactive soft skills, with an HBO (higher vocational) educational background and excellent English communication.
Salary
7000 - 8000
This is a temporary full-time position (36 hours per week) starting in August 2026 and initially running until June 2027. This position is open to both freelance/self-employed individuals and a flexible contract through Independent Recruiters, with a maximum rate of €90 per hour for freelancers/self-employed or an attractive salary within a flexible contract. This is a hybrid role requiring you to be present at the office in Amersfoort at least 1 day per week with Monday being the fixed office day. How we'll proceed.
