About this role
Are you a German-speaking client-facing professional looking for a role with real autonomy, genuine flexibility, and room to grow into broader responsibilities over time? We are looking for a Junior Customer Success Agent for the DACH market on behalf of our client, a Utrecht-based online marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio and Client Management
- Take ownership of a dedicated portfolio of professional service providers active in the German, Austrian, and Swiss markets
- Onboard new clients onto the platform and guide them through initial setup and activation
- Manage ongoing client relationships, including regular check-ins, payment follow-ups, or day-to-day query handling
- Build long-term relationships that support retention and growth within your portfolio
- Communicate with clients primarily by phone, supported by email and other channels where appropriate
Platform Adoption and Growth
- Spot opportunities to deepen client engagement with the platform's features
- Share insights from client conversations with the Product team to inform improvements
- Help clients get more value out of the platform by understanding their business and matching it to the right functionality
Qualifications & Skills
- Near-native fluency in German and professional fluency in English, which is the internal working language across the business
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a client-facing role such as customer service, customer success, or account management
- Genuine comfort on the phone, with strong listening skills and a professional telephone manner
- Structured and independent working style, able to manage a portfolio without constant direction
- Proactive, can-do mentality and willingness to take initiative
- Commercial curiosity and interest in how client outcomes connect to business impact
- Strong organisational skills and attention to accuracy
- Additional European language skills, exposure to SaaS or marketplace platforms, scale-up experience, or familiarity with CRM tools are a plus
What We Offer
- Salary range of €2,900 to €3,200 gross per month, excluding 8% holiday allowance
- 26 days of paid annual leave (20 statutory plus 6 extra), with the option to buy or sell up to 5 additional days, plus 2 company-wide days per year
- Trust-based hybrid model with no required in-office days; most colleagues are in on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Up to 6 weeks per year of remote work from abroad (maximum 4 consecutive weeks)
