[Video] Walking in a Dutch winter wonderland

By Victoria Séveno

Cast your mind back to the beginning of the year; as everyone was looking forward to temperatures rising and the weather getting a little bit nicer, the Netherlands was hit by some serious snow. People definitely have very mixed feelings about snow - yes it can be beautiful, but it can also be a bit of a nuisance, especially if you live in a city

Now that the Netherlands is experiencing what is most definitely not a white Christmas, enjoy some picturesque views of how pretty this country can be when it does decide to snow.

The Netherlands covered in a beautiful coat of snow and ice

From skaters making the most of frozen lakes and canals, to picture-perfect windmills dusted in a light coating of snow - the Netherlands really isn’t too bad a place to live after all, is it?

Who knows, maybe we’ll get some more snow this winter. Only time will tell!
