[The Hague] The Netherlands' favourite weekend break

The launch of a train and hotel deal by NS has increased visitor numbers to The Hague by some 22 percent, making it the top weekend destination. Visitor numbers to Maastricht and Groningen have also experienced significant boosts by the offer, available at the booking site.
Research by the website has revealed that weekend holidays are increasingly undertaken by train to avoid traffic and parking fees, with one in five Dutch using rail transport. As a consequence, hotels situated near train stations have experienced increased demand.
