About the performance

"Violet" is a dance performance, part of Springdance 2012. Choreographed by Meg Stuart, "Violet" features five performers who dance along live electronic music and percussion by musician Brendan Dougherty, creating a whirl of movements, images and energy.

Together and individually, they create an energetic landscape of detailed kinetic sculptures. What makes the performance special is that the spectators will have the chance to watch very closely, as the seats will be placed on the stage.

Meg Stuart (USA) is a choreographer and dancer living and working in Brussels and Berlin. "Violet" is perhaps the most abstract piece she created during her long-standing career.
