IamExpat is once again the media partner of the Startup Weekend. After a successful event in Amsterdam with lots of participants and great ideas, the event returns back to the Netherlands and this time at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven.

About the event

Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event that starts on Friday, February 18 with everyone (hackers, techies, creatives, researchers, social media-experts and business people) pitching a startup idea and finishes on Sunday, February 20. 

About 15 to 20 teams are formed around the best ideas which then spend the entire weekend getting advice from professional mentors (experienced entrepreneurs), building a proof of concept, demo, prototype or sometimes even a finished product.

Most ideas are web & tech focused but almost any new business needs a web, marketing and business strategy regardless if it is tech-centric or not.
