SPRING performing arts festival Utrecht

It's finally springtime, and Utrecht is eager to celebrate with this vibrant event centred around dance! SPRING performing arts festival is an adventurous event for dance, theatre and performance, with cross-overs to film, music and fine art.

The 10-day festival is the quintessential contemporary performing arts event of the 21st century, which focuses on the latest developments in dance in the Netherlands and internationally. Along with live performances, the programme also includes installations and debates. Both established and emerging artists and dancers will perform works created by local and international choreographers.

Renowned international performing arts festival based in Utrecht

SPRING is a renowned international performing arts festival based in Utrecht, offering a rich variation of theatre, from amazing art extravaganzas to unique interpretations of Greek tragedies. It came into being when two pre-existing festivals, Festival aan de Werf and Springdance merged together.

SPRING for internationals

Most performances are labelled "language no problem", meaning that there are no language obstructions for people who do not speak Dutch or English. The festival presents international performances by innovative theatre-makers and choreographers.
