All weekend long, one of the most picturesque city squares in the heart of Utrecht will be filled with high-quality Dutch beer, live music, delicious BBQ food and a special Sunday programme for kids. This can only mean one thing: it's time to say hello to Utrecht's Finest Festival!
Try out local speciality beers at Utrecht's Finest Festival
Utrecht's Finest Festival is Utrecht's most prolific beer party, where more than 20 different breweries from the province of Utrecht present their beers on tap. In addition to discovering your new favourite beer, you can dance to the music of swinging Utrecht bands and quirky local DJs.
Try quality beer from over 20 local artisanal breweries from not only the city of Utrecht but from places all across the province, such as Amersfoort, Houten, Zeist and Nieuwegein. Speciality beer is served in glassware, rather than the plastic glasses often found at festivals.

If you get peckish, you can treat yourself to delicious food from the mobile food stalls on the plaza. At the food court, take a seat and enjoy the tastiest BBQ dishes with friends. This is a festival that welcomes all ages and even pets! For the kids, there is a fun children's programme on the final afternoon of the festival!
Utrecht's Finest Festival opening times
The festival times are:
- Friday, August 20: 4pm-1pm
- Saturday, August 21: 2pm-1pm
- Sunday, August 22: 2pm-8pm
Here's some practical information to keep in mind in preparation for attending Utrecht's Finest Festival:
- Bicycle parking places will be available for anyone cycling to the event.
- For those arriving by public transport, many buses stop right at the square, plus the train station is only a 15-minute walk away.
- Accessible for all ages.
- Pets are allowed.
- Expect to hear amazing live music and DJs.
- Children's programme takes place on Sunday afternoon from 1pm-6pm.
- No cash payments accepted (see below).
Upon arrival, you buy entrance tickets with your first order at the bar, which includes the deposit for the festival glass. When the festival glass is returned, the deposit will be refunded.
