This August, experience the Spanish Cycling Race, La Vuelta in the beautiful Dutch city of Utrecht where top cyclists will compete throughout the weekend.
La Vuelta
The La Vuelta is an annual multi-stage cycling race that is primarily based in Spain with additional cities throughout Europe that the cyclists pass through. The first race was held in 1935, inspired by the success of the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia. Ever since then, it has been gaining popularity and has reached all ends of the globe.

La Vuelta Utrecht Programme
The following is the programme for the La Vuelta in Utrecht:
- Races starting between 8.30am and 10.45am at Brusselplein in Leidsche Rijn
- Special bike races known as "Dikke Banden races" for children
- Fun side activities for spectators
In addition to the races, there are a plethora of events that occur all throughout Utrecht during the La Vuelta such as musical performances, pub quizzes, cycling cafes, the travelling cycling village Vuelta Fietshub and the Dutch Championship slow biking.
