About the World Rowing Championships
Lucky for those living in the Netherlands, Amsterdam was chosen as the host city for the 2014 World Rowing Championships! The beautiful Bosbaan in the Amsterdamse Bos will see top international rowers come to compete in a variety of racing events. Organised by the International Rowing Federation (FISA), the competition is the most important event for rowing in non-Olympic years.
For visitors, this means that there is plenty to see and do. In addition to an array of activities at the Aegon Fanzone, seats are set up for prime viewing of the exciting trials and races taking place.
Along with the races, the World Rowing Championships are a festive event and a perfect day out for the entire family. Enjoy a drink on the terrace, grab a snack from the food trucks, try your hand at rowing or pack your own picnic and simply enjoy the buzz in the Amsterdamse Bos!
