The plan to increase the number of surveillance cameras at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has been “successful” according to the police who states that virtually no crime remains unobserved.

1.350 cameras were used at approximately 600 occasions and as a result, crime incidents have been significantly reduced.

At the moment, images / video are kept for 28 days, while the number of cameras will be eventually increased to more than 3.000.
