Official Announcement by GVB
Metro tunnel closed from July 23 - September 4

From July 23 to September 4 metros will not be able to use the metro tunnel between Central Station and Amstel Station. The City of Amsterdam is working on the safety features in the tunnel. Take schuttle bus 59.

How to travel between Central Station and Amstel Station
Shuttle bus 59: Central Station to Amstel Station
This bus stops near the metro stations Waterlooplein, Weesperplein and Wibautstraat, which are closed. The shuttle buses regretfully can not serve Nieuwmarkt, as the streets are too narrow. The number of passengers the bus can accommodate is limited compared to the metro.
