Europe House opens in The Hague

By Anita Kalmane

The newly refurbished Europe House opened in The Hague earlier this week. Since 1988, both the European Commission Representation to the Netherlands and the European Parliament Information Office have been using the building which now has acquired a public information centre and a conference hall.

Visitors may visit Europe House to receive information about European institutions or attend various events daily (9am - 4pm).

Note that José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission and Stavros Lambrinidis Vice-President of the European Parliament performed the official opening while HM Queen Beatrix and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte were also present.
