Network Administrator / IT Generalist - English

They are currently seeking a Network Administrator / IT Generalist (EU) to support day-to-day IT operations across their European offices, while also contributing to strategic global IT initiatives. The successful candidate will report to the Global Network Infrastructure Manager and work closely with IT and business leaders across both Europe and the US.

Job Profile for Network Administrator / IT Generalist
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Support the Global Infrastructure Manager and IT Systems Engineer with daily activities and project implementation
• Provide tier-1 Help Desk support to the European employee base, extend support to global teams as needed
• Coordinate and implement information security measures, including installing security software, monitoring for breaches, and responding to cyber attacks
• Plan and coordinate tasks such as the installation and upgrading of hardware and software
• Support and maintain network technologies including LAN, WAN, SDWAN
• Work with leading network and cybersecurity tools such as Azure, VMWare, Cisco Meraki, VeloCloud, SentinelOne, Zscaler, CyberArk, and Rapid7
• Set up network and email accounts for new employees and revoke access for departing team members
• Perform routine network backup activities as per defined plans
• Manage regular maintenance of Windows and SQL servers
• Keep Infrastructure leadership informed about relevant upgrades or new products that could improve operational efficiency
• Monitor warranties and service agreements, ensuring timely renewals
• Provide IT operations support across European office locations, including Poland, Denmark, Belgium, and Germany
• Travel to European offices on a scheduled, as-needed basis
• Deliver training and guidance to employees on optimal system and cybersecurity use
• Recommend training programs to address knowledge gaps and enhance IT proficiency among staff
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop applications, hardware, and peripherals
• Assist end users in preventing recurring application issues through coaching and training
• Support other IS&T team members as needed
• Act as backup for the Infrastructure Engineer when required
• Complete assigned projects and additional tasks from the SrVP IS&T or Infrastructure Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned

Candidate Profile for Network Administrator / IT Generalist

• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Associate degree or technical certification in a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in IT network management, including relevant internship experience
• Proficiency in Windows Server, SQL Server, and Azure Active Directory
• Strong understanding of data management techniques
• Experience with VMWare, vSphere, and managing virtual environments
• Knowledge of data security and disaster recovery systems and protocols
• Familiarity with a wide range of network systems, protocols, and applications
• Experience in LAN administration within a secure IT environment
• Working knowledge of endpoint protection, cloud security, VPNs, and privileged access management
• Understanding of systems security protocols, policies, and best practices
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
• Capable of diagnosing technical problems and coordinating hardware and software solutions
• Strong customer service orientation
• Highly detail-oriented and thorough
• Self-motivated and proactive
