About this role

We are looking for an editorial assistant (intern) to join our team in Amsterdam. This role offers hands-on experience in online publishing and digital content creation within an international environment.

If you have experience writing for digital media, understand the international community in the Netherlands, and want to learn how a digital publication operates daily, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you will assist the editorial team with:

Editing and formatting articles to ensure they are clean and accurate
Writing news updates and long-form articles for IamExpat’s websites
Tracking traffic and content performance
Handling daily publishing workflows and other ad-hoc tasks

You will need a sharp eye for what interests our audience and the ability to produce clear copy under daily deadlines.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

Native-standard written and spoken English
Current registration as a student at a Dutch institution
Basic experience in writing or editing, such as student journalism, blogging, or university coursework
A clear interest in journalism, digital publishing and online media
Strong attention to detail and a critical mindset
