Cycling is a major means of transport in the Netherlands. Visit any Dutch city and you will be confronted with hundreds of kilometres of cycle paths and more bikes than you can shake a stick at. But, in Amsterdam, this reality could have been very different.

Thanks to YouTube channel Bloomberg, you can take a look at how Amsterdam went from a potential car paradise to a cycling one.
