Netflix has announced that a Dutch version of the popular dating show Love is Blind is on the horizon. Anyone in the Netherlands looking for a lifelong partner and wanting to fall in love sight unseen can now register to be on the show.

Dutch version of Love is Blind announced

For any Dutch fans of the show, it is exciting news to hear that the Netherlands is finally getting its own version of Love is Blind, along with France, Poland and Italy. The US TV show first hit screens in 2020, and since then Netflix has launched several Love is Blind versions, such as Brazil, Japan, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Mexico, Habibi (Arab states) and Argentina.

In the series, single men and women have dates in rooms called pods. They can speak to each other through a wall, without seeing each other. After several dates with several people, they then focus on building their strongest connections. If the spark is strong enough, they could get engaged to their future partner before they have even seen them in person.

Casting for Dutch Love is Blind is open

Viewers at home will be able to watch the couples through it all, from the moment they meet to the proposals and the weddings. For any internationals watching who live in the Netherlands, it will be a great opportunity to learn Dutch while enjoying some entertainment at the same time.

Tired of superficial conversations with strangers on dating apps? Singles who are looking to find love and get married can now sign up to be on the hit show.
