About the exhibition
Arnold Newman (1918-2006) captured images of well known actors, artists and politicians, making him one of the most influential portrait photographers of the 20th century. The American photographer gave his portraits more character by incorporating the subject’s personal surroundings and thus, Newman is credited as the father of environmental portraiture.
