Bimhuis celebrates 40 years

Internationally renowned concert hall Bimhuis will be celebrating their 40th anniversary this year and are kicking off a season of festivities from October 1 to 5 with a series of special performances and parties! Founded in 1974, the Bimhuis has developed into the venue for jazz, improvised and various genres of world music in Amsterdam. Moving to its new home at the Piet Heinkade in 2005, the venue now hosts more than 300 concerts per year on the IJ waterfront.

Featuring a mix of Dutch and international talent, the concerts at Bimhuis range from big jazz names to more marginal musical acts and experiments. Entering their 40th year, Bimhuis has organised an entire season in celebration of their longevity and are opening with five nights of special performances from Dutch stars and international guests!
