All about love

Here are the themes and the line-up of special guests, who combine to make a varied programme:

Multidisciplinary designer Bea van Grutten

Multidisciplinary designer Bea van Grutten is a part of the swipe right generation. She regrets that the key moments of meeting a potential partner all happen on a screen now, making the experience less romantic and instinctive than in real life.

That’s why she has created WOO, a design project inspired by the animal world that brings back the pheromones and rethinks the future of flirting.

Communication scientist Elisabeth Timmermans

Communication scientist Elisabeth Timmermans is a true Tinder expert. For her doctoral research, she interviewed no fewer than 3.000 users about their behaviour on the popular dating app, resulting in the book "Love in Times of Tinder".

What is the influence of social media and dating apps on our relationships? On the basis of recent scientific research and dozens of testimonials, she will guide you through love, sex and romance in the city.

Content creator, host and producer Timo Harmelink

Content creator, host and producer Timo Harmelink is one of the three hosts of the popular podcast Datevermaak. He is single and a real experience expert on dating. In the bi-weekly Datevermaak podcast, Timo, Lisa and Lieke find out what dating means in 2019.

We are all looking for that one person to grow old with. We are constantly dating and swipe our way around. But why is dating so complicated? And can you become better at it?

Connection curator Thomas C. Knox

Connection curator Thomas C. Knox is the creator of Date While You Wait, an initiative in New York City that provides a quick, meaningful and unforgettable dose of goodness in a world sometimes flooded with negativity.

Each day in New York City, hundreds of thousands of strangers stand next to each other during their daily commutes, without saying one word and with their eyes fixed on their electronic devices. Date While You Wait is a beautiful distraction to lighten the mood of someone’s day and strike up quick conversations while waiting on a subway platform.

Music and poetry Kirsten Berkx

There will also be music and poetry by Kirsten Berkx, singer / songwriter, poet and actress.
